Royal Parties for 8-11 year old girls

A Royal Success:  Parties for 8-11 Year old Girls

Hear Ye, Hear Ye
Your daughter might be beyond the handmade glitter invitations stage, but making her own invitations can still be fun.  Many different software programs will allow her to create her own unique invitation with a personal flair.   Encourage her to have fun with it and be creative (and use spellcheck!)

"Once upon a time... As a royal subject, your presence is requested by the king and queen of the kingdom (your last name) to attend an enchanted Princess Birthday Party for her highness, princess (your child's first and last name) on the magical occasion of her (how old she will beth. birthday."

Use parchment paper and roll up with a bright ribbon.

            A Royal Do
Older girls often love to try out make-up, so set up some stations where girls can play.  Check with the girls’ moms to make sure there aren’t any skin allergies.  Try these ideas:

Fingernail painting station
Offer a couple of different colors for the kids to choose from and suitable stickers or nail jewels.  You can purchase a spray that dries wet fingernail polish very quickly.

Hair styling station:
Buy individual combs and stock up on glittery clips, bows and barrettes.  Have an older sister or friend who loves doing hair help with this one.  If your guests’ parents are ok, add some spray glitter to the final ‘do.

Make-up station
You need dozens and dozens of make-up samples.  The best to get them is an independent make-up consultant.  For a price, they are usually willing to let you purchase enough for a party.  Better yet, hire her to do the girls’ makeup.

            Royal Feast
Consider a tea party complete with flavored teas, truffles and mini sandwiches.  If you want to serve a fizzy drink, think sparkling apple cider or sparkling water with a little fruit juice.  Plastic wineglasses are fun, and can be decorated with faux rhinestones.
